What happened to youtube? In it's nascent days it looked like it was fulfilling the promise of free information exchange now it more closely resembles a classified document, restricted not only by content but by geographical region at the behest of large corporate types, the "world" wide web never seemed so provincial.

9/11
It may be somewhat predictable even rudimentary posting thoughts on the 10 year anniversary of 911 but sometimes the mundane is a necessity. I believe the response to 911 did more to harm America's prestige and credibility on the global stage than anything the dearly departed "emir" Bin Laden could have hoped for even in his most fantastical wet dream. I suppose it was an unfortunate coincidence of history that America was to be administered by one of her most incompetent leaders to date at the time of the tragedy. The compensatory swagger and Texan tough talk belied a man who lacked the essential capacity for understanding and analysis that destiny had foisted upon him.

Catholic guilt
It never ceases to amaze me how Pope Palpatine and his coven continue to issue moral decrees on sexual matters, it betrays a level of cognitive dissonance that is almost stupefying. Why don't you adopt the humility that the jesus of the new testament espouses and hang your head(s) in shame & silence at the facilitated rape and abuse of defenseless children.
No sex please, god's wathcing.

Season 15 South Park
So far this season has been a significant let down. Not nearly the same rapier wit that I've become accustomed to. The crack baby episode was one of the strongest of a very substandard run to date. Perhaps S.P is now experiencing the inevitable "Simpson effect". One of the major advantages S.P enjoyed is it's fast turnaround time which facilitated contemporary topics being integrated into the themes of the show before they fell off the public's radar. I think this is also an achilles heel, it's possible they made need to extend the production time to more fully develop the episodes. It's one of the few T.V shows that I genuinely look forward to.

Interesting thought...what is the worth of life.
n American management consultant, on holiday in a Mediterranean fishing village, watched a little fishing boat dock at the quayside. Noting the quality of the fish, the consultant asked the fisherman how long it had taken to catch them.
"Not very long." answered the fisherman.
"Then, why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?" asked the consultant.
The fisherman explained that his small catch was sufficient to meet his needs and those of his family.
The consultant asked, "But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, have an afternoon's rest under a big tree. In the evenings, I go into the community hall to see my friends, have a few beers, play the drums, and sing a few songs..... I have a full and happy life." replied the fisherman.
The consultant ventured, "I have an MBA from Harvard and I can help you...... You should start by fishing longer every day. You can then sell the extra fish you catch. With the extra revenue, you can buy a bigger boat. With the extra money the larger boat will bring, you can buy a second one and a third one and so on until you have a large fleet. Instead of selling your fish to a middleman, you can negotiate directly with the processing plants and maybe even open your own plant. You can then leave this little village and move to a city here or maybe even in the United States, from where you can direct your huge enterprise."
"How long would that take?" asked the fisherman.
"Oh, ten, maybe twenty years." replied the consultant.
"And after that?" asked the fisherman.
"After that? That's when it gets really interesting," answered the consultant, laughing, "When your business gets really big, you can start selling shares in your company and make millions!"
"Millions? Really? And after that?" pressed the fisherman.
"After that you'll be able to retire, move out to a small village by the sea, sleep in late every day, spend time with your family, go fishing, take afternoon naps under a coconut tree, and spend relaxing evenings havings drinks with friends..." less

A dose of reality
Is it just me or is the rash of these self congratulatory "reality" based tv shows utterly preposterous and nauseating. All the tension is manufactured hyperbolic nonsense, as if the three corpulent, obnoxious, self flagellating food critics would all suffer simultaneous aneurysms if the poor bastard slaving away preparing the gruel was 20 seconds over some ludicrous "deadline", if only!

Dead Space blues
I must say after having played both Dead Space(s) back to back I'm beginning to experience withdrawal symptoms, I'm now no longer edgier than a heroin addict who hasn't had a fix in two weeks when walking around dark corners. The sound of far of unidentifiable sounds no longer has me reaching for my plasma cutter (cigarette lighter), ah well, roll on Dead Space 3...

Jersey Shore Nobel Prize winners
Officially we have now reached the nadir of the anti-intellectual movement. The abominably named "Snooki" is now delivering addresses at a University for $32K per grunt, more than a nobel prize recipient. I presume the closest she got to University before was as a pinata in a fraternity house getting hit by many long sticks.
